Rubbing the remnants of sleep from her eyes, she stretches slightly, realising that she hasn't slept this well in weeks. A feeling of warmth and safety envelopes her, a stark contrast to the turmoil she has been enduring over th....

After ensuring Victoria has settled in the guest room, I close the door gently behind me, leaving her to find some peace in her newfound safe space. Returning to the lounge area, I pour myself my favourite drink, the liquid amber catching the soft light filtering through the room.
At the large bay window, I draw the curtains closed, shutting out the fading light of the evening and the prying ....

A man sits quietly in the tea house; his gaze fixed on the couple just outside the window. He sees Victoria and John seated at a garden table, their hands intertwined, each word they exchange laden with emotion.
The man's expression is inscrutable, but his eyes betray a curiosity and intensity as he listens to their conversation. He takes a sip of his tea, but his attention never wavers ....

A heavy sense of missed opportunity clings to me, as I leave the dance floor and make my way back to my table. The echoes of music and laughter create a distant hum in the background, a stark contrast to the turmoil within me.
Seated around the elegantly set table, the guests chat amiably. I sink into my seat, my thoughts still lingering on Victoria and the fleeting moments we have just share....

"Hello," Victoria says, her voice gentle and genuine, her eyes locking onto mine.
"I just wanted to personally thank you. Not only for helping my mother today but for what you did at the tea garden as well. Your kindness seems to know no bounds."
A smile tugs at the corners of my lips as I respond, "It was my pleasure. Your mother is an extraordinary woman, and it was the least I could ....

The guests words of praise wash over me and as the wedding reception continues, a renewed sense of calm settles over the guests following the earlier commotion. Conversations resume, laughter bubbles up softly, and the joyful ambiance of the event begi....

Suddenly, I find myself transported back in time to a hot summer's day in a tranquil tea garden. The sun beats down on the lush greenery, casting dappled shadows on the quaint tables and chairs. The gentle rustle of leaves and the distant hum of conversation create a serene backdrop, transporting me to a place of peace and nostalgia.
